Andy is a graduate of Huron High School in Huron, Ohio where he grew up and lived the first 22 years of his life. He graduated from the Sport Management program at Bowling Green State University (Bowling Green, Ohio) in December of 2007 with a Bachelors Degree of Science in Education. During his senior year at BGSU Andy served a 6-month internship with the Jamie Farr Owens Corning Classic (LPGA Tour) in Toledo/Sylvania, Ohio. Soon after graduation, Andy was selected to be a Championship Operations Assistant at the 90th PGA Championship from June-August of 2008 at Oakland Hills Country Club in Bloomfield Township, Michigan. During tear down and wrap-up of the Championship, Andy was asked to continue his service with the PGA from August-October as an Operations Assistant at the 37th Ryder Cup Matches at Valhalla Golf Club in Louisville-right here in the Great Commonwealth of Kentucky.
In January of 2009 Andy accepted a position with the South Florida PGA Section to serve as Tournament Operations intern for their summer tournament season from May-August. Following his internship, he worked at PGA National Resort and Spa in Palm Beach Gardens until his move to Louisville to join the Kentucky Golf family. During his time in Florida, Andy was able to volunteer at The Honda Classic (PGA Tour) qualifiers at PGA National, and travel home to Ohio to volunteer as a Merchandising Assistant at the 70th Senior PGA Championship at Canterbury Golf Club in Cleveland.
In his spare time, Andy enjoys helping his father, Wally, a former PGA Professional and director of Team Focus (a national charitable organization for 10-18 boys without a father presence in their life) in Sandusky, Ohio, with the chapter of the charity that he oversees.
Andy began his career in golf administration with the KGA-PGA, Inc. as Junior Golf & Tournament Operations Assistant on February 1, 2010.
